From the afternoon of February 3rd to the afternoon of February 5th, in collaboration with Yahe School of Engineering, we jointly organized the 2023 Global Game Jam Hainan Station. We provided venues and professional guidance for developers. Core sponsors, Guangzhou ICON, and Wuhan Underline, offered strong support for this event.

The theme keyword for this event is "TOUCH." A total of 62 participants took part in the Hainan station. After the theme was announced, they formed teams independently and quickly dove into game development.

On the afternoon of July 9th, after an intense 48 hours of dedicated work, each team successfully concluded the development of their respective games. The teams then submitted and uploaded their works, engaging in mutual playtesting of the games.

Based on votes and judging feedback, the team "End the game, eat coconut chicken" secured the first prize in the 2023 Global Game Jam with their creation "Wheat Field." The team "Dream Porting" earned the second prize with their game "Seeking Eros," and the third prize went to the team "Dream Fire" for their game "Don't Touch Me."

The top three games honored in the 2023 Global Game Jam Hainan Station will advance to the Best Game Jam Works judging stage of the indiePlay competition. The final selected works will be showcased at the WePlay Cultural Expo in Shanghai on November 18-19, with the annual winners announced at the IndiePlay Awards ceremony on November 19.
