We organized a game design experience class called the 'Paper Game Workshop' at Haikou University of Economics in Haikou, Hainan Province, China. This workshop is specifically designed for students majoring in New Game Development at the university.

What is the 'Paper Game Workshop'？

 It is a specialized workshop focused on paper-based games.Participants are not required to possess skills in graphic design, UI design, animation, or programming, and they do not need any electronic devices.As long as they have an interest in game design, they can form teams on-site and collaboratively create a game design using simple tools such as paper, pens, dice, chips, and more.

The centerpiece of this experiential course is the RPE (MDA) framework, a theoretical system acknowledged and extensively utilized in game design instruction by numerous American universities offering programs in the field.

The speaker of the Paper Game Workshop, Tony Shong,is a seasoned professional in the gaming industry, boasting over twenty years of experience in interactive experience planning, creativity, and development. Beyond serving as a judge for IMGA China, he holds the role of a guest professor in the game department at the Communication University of China.
